Chris Fowler's Vote

Chris Fowler - who will be ESPN's host of the Trophy presentation show - has this to say:

I have not yet figured out my Heisman ballot and won't tell you when I do. It would be dumb for the host of the show at which the trophy is handed out to reveal that.

I don't know where I will rank Tim Tebow, but I do know it will have nothing to do with the fact that he's a sophomore. Voters who weigh that factor miss the point.

Traditional thinking goes like this: "I will wait until he is a junior or senior to reward him for what he's done." Except, I doubt Tebow will have a year like this again.

Well, that should be D-Macs vote then.... He has put the numbers up 2 years in a row.... I mean if Fowler does not think Tebow can do it again (like Darren has) then what does that tell you??? Fowler (and everyone else)just need to vote for Darren, after all, he is the BEST college football player for 2 years running.... No brainer!

No Melissa - what Fowler is refering to is that it will be a long time before ANYBODY - including Tebow - puts up numbers like this again.

Sorry - but DMc has not had the numbers or the season that he had last year and that is why it is a shame he got screwed last year when he did have the goods.

Thats why it should be given to the best no matter when in thier career it comes - lightening seldom strikes twice in the same place.

it's the 2007 heisman trophy, not the 2007-retroactive-to-2006-performances-heisman-trophy

Blair, you obviously know nothing about sports. DMAC has had a better year than last year. Last year he ended with 1620 yards in 14 games. This year, he has 1725 in only 12. He got better. Also, people fail to mention that against Auburn, he was wearing a body cast over his chest, because he had badly bruised ribs. He was hurt for 4 games and against Fla Int. Arkansas' longest drive was like 20 something yards because our defense kept giving us the ball on their side of the field. Remember that. We scored like 55 points and most starters were out after the 3rd qtr.
